Annaka Haynes is a nursing student who has had Cystic Fibrosis since she was 6 weeks old. Trikafta developed by Vertex Pharmaceuticals was first approved by the FDA on October 21, 2019. This treatment is a triple combination regimen for cystic fibrosis patients starting at ages 2 years and older.
